Cookie policy

Last updated: 26 May 2026

This Cookie Policy is published in compliance with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the guidance on the use of cookies issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the user's browser to remember information about the visit, improve the user experience or measure site usage.

2. Categories of cookies

Following the AEPD guidance, we distinguish the following categories:

  • Technical or strictly necessary: enable browsing and the use of basic functions. They do not require prior consent.
  • Personalization: remember user preferences such as language or region.
  • Analytics or measurement: enable aggregated analysis of behaviour, without individual profiling.
  • Third-party cookies (advertising or marketing): only loaded where an appropriate legal basis exists and the user has provided informed consent.

3. Cookies used on this Site

Cookies and similar storage used on this Site:

A. Technical and personalization (no consent required):

  • cookieConsent (browser localStorage): stores the user's cookie banner choice. Retention: until cleared by the user. Provider: first-party.
  • toolfarm_usage (browser localStorage, when set): keeps local counters of tool usage to power the 'most used crops' homepage ranking. Retention: until cleared. Provider: first-party.

B. Analytics (consent required, off by default):

  • toolfarm.analytics (browser localStorage): persistent anonymous visitor identifier (UUID v7), session start timestamp and last activity. Retention: until cleared by the user. Provider: first-party.
  • _clck, _clsk (cookies): set by Microsoft Clarity for session recordings and heatmaps. Retention: up to 1 year. Provider: Microsoft Corporation.
  • _ga, _ga_[container] (cookies): set by Google Analytics 4 to identify visitors and sessions. Retention: 14 months. Provider: Google LLC.

The analytics category is enabled only after the user clicks 'Accept and continue' in the cookie banner. The user can revoke consent at any time using the 'Manage cookies' link in the page footer, which clears all analytics state from the browser.

4. Managing and withdrawing consent

The user can accept, reject, configure or delete cookies in two ways:

  • From this Site: the 'Manage cookies' link in the page footer reopens the consent banner. Clicking 'Reject all' clears all analytics state stored in this browser.
  • From the browser settings:
  • - Google Chrome: support.google.com/chrome
  • - Mozilla Firefox: support.mozilla.org
  • - Safari: support.apple.com/safari
  • - Microsoft Edge: support.microsoft.com

Rejecting strictly necessary technical storage may prevent the Site from working correctly.

5. Third-party services

Third-party providers used on this Site are listed in section 3:

  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation): session recordings and heatmaps. Privacy policy: https://privacy.microsoft.com.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC): aggregated traffic measurement. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Each provider acts as an independent data controller for the data it processes under its own terms. Loading is conditional on user consent.

6. Changes

Zerkan Technologies S.L. may amend this Cookie Policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The last-updated date is shown at the top of this page.
